There were many learning lessons for Treasury from the Liquidity Crisis and now many survey results are showing what most Treasurers are focused on following the impacts from the Pandemic.  This session will look to explore some of these learning lessons that make hindsight 2020 and what Treasury can do going forward to become more of a “Strategic Asset” to the company versus the “Cost-Center” of the past.

Ashlee Horlacher

Ashlee Horlacher is VP Corporate Payment Sales Specialist for BOK Financial based out of Oklahoma City, OK. She has spent the last 17 years in banking including consumer lending, small business lending, commercial and corporate treasury and most recently taking on her newest adventure of leading the corporate card and corporate payments team at BOK Financial. Her goal is to help middle market companies across the country streamline payables, automate AP and prevent fraud through various corporate card solutions. Ashlee covers BOK Financial’s 8-state footprint and partners with local treasury management officers, as well as, relationship managers of various lines of business.

Kim Gwin, CTP

Kim Gwin, CTP, is the Houston Treasury Manager at Bank of Texas since June 2017. She has almost 20 years of banking experience including Credit and Portfolio Management and more recently within Treasury Services. Based in Houston, Texas, Kim's background and experience includes advising small business to large corporate companies and across various industries including Houston’s sweet spot, the energy industry.

Kim started her career in Houston at Comerica Bank after graduating from Baylor University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. She later moved to Large Corporate Energy with a Dutch bank, ABN AMRO, which was later acquired by a British Bank, RBS, and was the largest bank in the world by Market Capitalization prior to the liquidity crisis in 2008. During the liquidity crisis, Kim was a Credit Officer in Large Corporate Energy and was able to gain a unique perspective on companies trying to survive during an unprecedented financial crisis.

In 2009, Kim made a significant career move within banking over to International Treasury while at RBS and earned her Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification while managing large corporate multi-national treasury relationships. In 2014, Kim moved to a Big 3 U.S. Bank to begin focusing on Middle Market ($50-$2Bln) Commercial Treasury as a Treasury Sales Officer specialized in prospecting and bringing in new relationships to the bank. Kim was recruited three years later to join Bank of Texas as the Treasury Services Manager serving all industries and divisions that interact with Treasury in the South Texas market.

Kim enjoys investing back into her community and is currently serving as the Bank of Texas United Way Chairman in charge of the annual fundraising campaign to support the United Way of Greater Houston.
