PKF Texas and Financial Executives International (FEI) would like to invite you to save the date for our seminar, “What’s Happening in the State of Capital Flow.” Financial professionals, as well as CFOs, controllers and c-suite executives with financial responsibility are encouraged to attend.

Chief Financial Officers, Controllers and C-suite executives working in finance will want to join us for this timely seminar. PKF Texas Audit Director, Chip Schweiger, will lead a discussion with panelists Michelle Lewis, CapStreet; and Sammy Desai, The Needham Group, Inc. Additional panelists to be announced!


Chip Schweiger, CPA, CGMA

In Chip’s capacity as an audit director, he has executive responsibility for leading our teams in the delivery of client service in a broad range of industries, including energy, oilfield services, manufacturing, distribution, software, employee benefit plans, not-for-profits, and aerospace and defense.

He brings his clients extensive public company audit experience, including initial public offerings, secondary equity offerings, PCAOB inspections and acquisitions. Coupled with decades of experience auditing owner-managed businesses and private equity portfolio companies, he believes in delivering a strong client service approach with a demonstrated history of developing effective working relationships with several large and high-profile clients during his professional career. Chip’s client responsibilities have spanned the spectrum from closely held private companies to multinational corporations with over $10 billion in annual revenues.


Samir Desai
Managing Director, Head of New York Investment Banking
Needham & Company

Samir Desai joined Needham & Company in 2002 and is the Head of New York Investment Banking, as well as the Head of the Software and Services Corporate Finance team. Samir’s experience includes a wide variety of equity, debt and private placement financings and advisory assignments for many technology clients over the last 20 years. At Needham & Company, he has been the lead advisor on various IPOs, Follow-on and Private Placement offerings, as well as buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions related to enterprise, application, network and infrastructure software and tech-enabled and IT Services companies.

Prior to joining Needham, Samir was a Vice President in the Technology Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse First Boston/Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he focused on clients in the Enterprise Computing, Software and Internet Consulting Services sectors. Prior to CSFB/DLJ, he worked at Cowen & Company, where he was an Associate in Cowen’s Technology Investment Banking Group. He also worked at Salomon Brothers Inc as a Financial Analyst in Salomon’s Mergers and Acquisitions Group.

Samir earned an M.B.A. with Honors from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, and a B.A. in Government and Economics cum laude from Dartmouth College.

Michelle A. Lewis

Michelle Lewis joined CapStreet in 2018. She is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Hardwoods Distribution Inc. (TSX: HDI). In addition, Michelle will lead CapStreet’s efforts to source new platform investments.

Prior to joining CapStreet, Michelle was the Chief Strategy Officer at DistributionNOW (NYSE: DNOW), a $2 billion publicly traded, global distributor of energy and industrial products and services. At DNOW, she managed strategy, corporate development and investor relations. Previously, she was the Senior Vice President of Strategy, M&A and Shared Services for the Distribution and Transmission segment of National Oilwell Varco (NYSE: NOV).

Prior to the last nine years in energy and industrial distribution, Michelle spent 20 years in various managerial and interim management roles in Consulting and Restructuring in the public and private sectors in Houston, New Orleans, New York, San Francisco and Washington D.C., where she worked across industries from energy to healthcare and public education.

Michelle obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The University of Texas and a Master of Business Administration from the Jesse Jones School of Business at Rice University.

Alex Somers
Executive Director, Investment Banking
Tudor Pickering Holt & Co.

Alex Somers serves as an Executive Director in Investment Banking at Tudor Pickering Holt & Co. Prior to joining TPH, Alex was an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Kinetics Energy Services, LLC. Before that, he served as a Vice President at Simmons & Company International, where he advised energy services and equipment clients and their boards of directors on a variety of M&A and capital markets transactions.
Alex holds a BSM in Finance and Accounting, as well as a BS in Psychology and Philosophy from Tulane University. In addition, he also holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.


During this seminar you will learn:
