Kapil Chhibber
Senior Vice President Technology Partnership Development

Kapil Chhibber is a Senior Vice President at Bank of America and is responsible for strategic partnerships with emerging technology companies. Key focus areas include consumer financial technology, information security, artificial intelligence & machine learning and enterprise software.
Prior to joining BofA, Kapil held roles in strategic planning and business development with Microsoft Corporation. During his tenure with Microsoft, he was a member of the Microsoft Business Division Strategy team that was responsible for the long-term planning and strategic direction for the division. In addition, he served as a founding member of Office Live where he led the development, planning and negotiation of partnerships across several online services.
Kapil has also held roles in venture capital / private equity with Draper Fisher Jurvetson Portage Venture Partners and The Parthenon Group where he was responsible for investment opportunity screening and due diligence across several industry verticals. He began his career as an investment banker in M&A and Corporate Finance with the Global Technology Group at Lehman Brothers.

Kapil was a recipient of the 2014 – 40 Under 40 Award by the San Francisco Business Times. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee for the Asian Art Museum.

Kapil holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BSBA in Management Information Systems and Finance with Honors from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona.

Christopher A. King
Senior Vice President & Senior Relationship Manager

Christopher King is a Senior Vice President and Senior Client Manager in the Global Commercial Banking Group of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. As a Senior Client Manager, Chris markets the bank’s full breadth of financial services to Houston-based middle market businesses. In addition to business development responsibilities, Chris is also responsible for maintaining an existing portfolio of client relationships. Chris joined Bank of America in 2004 and has over 25 years of banking experience, covering a wide range of industries. Chris began his career with First Interstate Bank of Texas and has been focused in the middle market coverage area throughout his entire career. Chris earned a Bachelor in Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University with a minor in Economics. Chris and his wife currently live in Cypress, TX.

Aziz Gilani is a Managing Director at Mercury, where he focuses on investments in enterprise SaaS, Cloud and data science startups. Aziz currently serves on the boards of Mercury portfolio companies Datical, GameSalad, Graylog, Koupon Media (observer), Label Insight (observer), ShareThis (observer) and Trendkite (observer). Aziz’s previous investments at Mercury have included BlackLocus (acq. by The Home Depot), Infochimps (acq. by CSC), Modest (acq. by PayPal), and Phurnace Software (acq. by BMC Software).

Prior to joining Mercury, Aziz was a Senior Engagement Leader with Infosys Consulting, an early executive at ABB Performance Services, a Senior Consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and an Analyst at Lotus Development Corp. Aziz received his BBA from the University of Texas where he was a TILF Scholar, and his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management where he was an FC Austin Scholar.

In addition, Aziz is a graduate of the Kauffman Fellows Program through the Center for Venture Education, where he completed industry-defining field work on Seed Accelerators.  Aziz is a recognized expert in Seed Accelerators, and has been quoted in several national publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, BusinessWeek, ReadWriteWeb, TechCocktail, and The Business Journals.

Outside of Mercury, Aziz serves in advisory roles for Knight Foundation, the Mayor of Houston’s Tech and Innovation Council, Seed Accelerator Rankings, and SXSW Interactive. He is also an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at Rice’s Jones Graduate School of Business where he teaches a course on venture capital.

Prospective Member Form
Prospective Members must be submitted via the form link. All forms must be submitted for approval by the membership committee by 5:00 pm on the Wednesday before the meeting . Once approved, FEI will register prospects and inform the member or sponsor contact that the prospect has been approved to attend. This is applicable to anyone bringing a prospective member.
